Generous Donation for Sewing Program

We have just received a donation of $1800 from the Duncan Noontime Rotary Club for our new sewing program in Simpani, Pokhara. We also received a $200 private donation at the same time making it $2000. We are extremely grateful to Duncan Rotary for this. It will cover our start up costs of machines, furniture, fabric and notions etc and cover salaries for our two ladies and teacher for sometime to come. The program is doing very well and all our school uniforms were made on time and we have many ladies wanting to learn to sew. Mann is on his way to Pokhara tomorrow and will be buying a serger machine which they need especially for making pants. This has been exciting for the women involved and has given them new self esteem.
I will have some new photos when he returns at the end of the week which I will post here.

We are very happy with the support of the Rotary Clubs here in Duncan, they have been amazing and helped NEF with new projects which have changed the lives of many Nepali women and children. The Chimkhola school project would not have been possible without their help and now the sewing project will be greatly enhanced by their help. We thank you so much.
